I’ve been working on a new mission for Thief 2. It was originally planned to be an entry for the Thief 2 20th Anniversary Contest; however I ran into some engine limitations that meant the only way to continue without making large cuts was to replace some complex architectural details with custom objects. Since one of the contest rules is that you can’t make use of custom objects, it invalidates the mission from entry to the contest.
That said, I still intend to stick to the spirit of the contest as closely as possible, sticking to the game’s stock resources everywhere it’s practical.
